Career and personal life of Zhigunov
Sergey Zhigunov was born in 1963 in Rostov-on-Don, studied at secondary and music schools, and after receiving a certificate he entered the Shchukin Theater School. Due to absenteeism, the future actor was expelled, but managed to recover and still get an education.
Zhigunov’s film career was not interrupted even while serving in the army: the film set “Gardemarinov” was located next to his regiment. In 1990, Sergey Zhigunov became the general director of the creative association "Chance" and continued active acting. Now he is the owner of the Orders of Honor and Friendship and a number of other titles and awards.
The personal life of Zhigunov was not always cloudless. The first time he married in 1984, actress Vera Novikova.
After 23 years, the marriage broke up, as Sergei began to meet with Anastasia Zavorotnyuk and even tried to build a new family with her. After parting with the “homeowner”, the actor again met Novikova, having married in 2009. The couple has two daughters.
Location of the Zhigunov Mansion
For a long time Sergey was looking for an ideal place to create a family nest. After studying the near Moscow region, he took a fancy to the village of Zalesye, which is located 60 km from the capital, in the Vladimir region.
The place met all the requirements of Zhigunov:
- nature, the possibility of solitude;
- favorable environmental conditions;
- the presence of a lake with excellent sandy beaches;
- the proximity of the forest with berries, mushrooms;
- the opportunity to admire the forest flora and fauna and hunt;
- developed infrastructure;
- area for walking;
- gyms and playgrounds, shops.
Not far from the village where Zhigunov lives with his family, is located the source "Gremyachiy Klyuch" by Sergius of Radonezh - the most famous waterfall near Moscow with a height of about 20 m. The water here is considered healing, as it is enriched with radon. The waterfall has become a popular tourist destination and pilgrimage destination.
Building a house Zhigunova
Zhigunov always wanted to build a house of solid wood, so for his own mansion he ordered a log house from the Angarsk larch. The finished object was brought to Sergey Zhigunov directly from Siberia and assembled on the spot, and the project was managed by a good friend of the actor’s family. For a short period of time, a three-story mansion with an area of 180 square meters with a copper roof, resembling a fabulous tower, was erected on the site.

The living room in the Zhigunov mansion has become a real work of art. The walls in the room are painted in light colors, wooden beams of a gray-blue hue are located on the ceiling. The ceiling itself is decorated with original ornate patterns that emphasize the old Russian ethnic style of the room, mixed with glamorous chic. The area under the windows is decorated with special handmade borders from Suzdal, on which you can sit or plant live plants.
In the center of the living room in the Zhigunov mansion there is a unique custom-made stove and decorated with ceramic tiles in blue, red, and white. Special attention should be paid to the butterfly valve. For additional insulation in the living room and other rooms of the first floor, a warm baseboard has been mounted, which qualitatively heats the house.
The living room of Sergey Zhigunov is divided into three main parts:
- Rest zone. It is presented by two soft snow-white sofas with bright pillows and a lacquered coffee table with Zhostovo painting.
- Dining area. Here you can see a large dining table made of wood with carved legs, eight chairs with beautiful upholstery. Nearby is a dark old chest of drawers and a mirror in an antique frame in the shape of a tower.
- Music zone. In this part of the living room, on a small podium, there is sound equipment and a luxurious white piano.
Lighting in the living room is very well organized. In the recreation area, two crystal chandeliers and candle lamps play the role of lighting. 4 shades in the form of inverted vases hang above the Zhigunov piano. On the ceiling of the whole room are spread out spotlights imitating a picture of the night sky.
Romantic bedroom
The bedroom in Zhigunov’s house is decorated no less beautifully and interestingly. The main finishing material is natural wood - it is sheathed in the ceiling, part of the walls, the floor is decorated. The discreet beige-brown shade of the walls is shaded by aquamarine elements on the bedspread, soft pillows, and chair covers.
The bedside zone in the room of Zhigunov and his wife rightfully occupies a central place. The wall at the head is decorated with wooden saws, sconces are made in the form of melting icicles. The window in the bedroom was not obscured by heavy draperies - it was half covered by a weightless white tulle.

Country house of Zhigunov in Gurzuf
In 2004, the artist Zhigunov bought a summer house near Yalta in Gurzuf. Because of the purchase, I had to sue the locals for a long time, because the house is located in a popular bay, and Sergey immediately fenced it with a large fence.
Zhigunov built a capital mansion to a modest cottage, where you can live all year round. Usually a family comes here to rest in early spring and summer and loves to walk in the mountains, arranging for themselves additional “sports training”.
Sergey Zhigunov appreciates modesty and comfort, which is fully consistent with the design of his housing. Despite the lack of visible luxury, the interior looks elegant, stylish and reflects the great taste of the residents!
