The agents are single component low viscosity formulations. Their setting is quick, so the parts should be correctly fixed right away. The German manufacturer Weiss included special components in the composition that provide moisture resistance, UV protection.

The resulting seam gives stability to plastic compounds and has the following qualities:

• resistance to the influence of negative temperatures;
• low thermal conductivity;
• high resistance to external damaging factors.

The use of glue for windows is justified for fixing any technological seams and joining auxiliary elements - drains, protective strips, strips. The materials of the series cannot be replaced with adhesive like Cosmo SL 660, 650 for plastic - they have a different principle of operation.

Cosmofen PMMA for Acrylic

Cosmofen PMMA is a solvent-based adhesive, which is necessary for instant bonding of acrylic. It is widely used as a material for joining window profiles with an outer layer of acrylic.

The area of ​​use of liquid plastic is the production of promotional products, acrylic trading equipment. Cosmofen PMMA is very resistant to solar radiation. The composition contains solvents, a number of polymers.

• ignition temperature - +321 degrees.

Hardened glue should be removed in strips, tearing them off - the product can be separated from the materials without damaging them.

Cosmofen Plus for PVC

Cosmofen Plus is widely used by companies engaged in the manufacture, installation, repair of plastic windows and other products made of hard PVC.

Can seal and glue ebbs, slopes, louvre strips and other additional profiles. Cosmofen Plus is used to connect plumbing pipes, gutters, glues billboards and banners. It has high resistance to temperature, ultra-resistant to ultraviolet. In composition it is a diffusion adhesive based on vinyl chloride polymers on solvents.

Cosmofen 345 adhesive sealant

Cosmofen 345 sealant is widely used for sealing, sealing joints on plastic windows made of hard PVC. The resulting compound will be resistant to atmospheric changes, precipitation, and the influence of sunlight.

The glue does not spread over the surface, does not crack, gives minimal shrinkage, can fill joints up to 5 mm deep. Contains silicone, absolutely transparent, therefore it can be used for compounds of translucent structures made of metal plastic.

Where else can I use Cosmofen 345? The composition perfectly glues products from the following materials:

• tree;
• stone - natural, artificial;
• concrete.

With a surface width of 20 mm, glue is consumed at the rate of approximately 8 g / linear meter.

Cosmofen Plus HV for PVC

Cosmofen Plus HV Liquid Plastic is used to quickly adhere solid PVC products. Most often, the composition is used in the installation of plastic windows for attaching plums, protective strips, strips, a number of closing elements.

In the advertising industry, glue is intended for fastening panels, profiles, boxes and banners. The tool is widely used in plumbing works, but not for joining pressure pipes.

The glue is one-component, colorless, transparent, looks like a gel, has a high viscosity. The composition of the tool is a solution of polyvinyl chloride on tetrahydrofuran. The resulting seam will be highly resistant to ultraviolet radiation, as special substances - UV stabilizers - are introduced into the composition.

The main characteristics of the glue:

• viscosity - 4000 MPa / s;
• density - 0.99 g / cubic cm;
• the usability of the adhesive after application at room temperature (+20 degrees) and a humidity of 50% - 60 seconds;
• achievement of functional strength - 2 - 4 minutes;
• final hardening - day.

Cosmofen Plus S for PVC

The liquid in the Cosmofen Plus S series plastic is different from the rest in color - this adhesive is white.

The scope of use is similar - glue is used to connect parts of PVC windows (slopes, tides, slats). In plumbing work, glue is useful for rain gutters, pipes (with the exception of pressure pipes). The material is used for the manufacture of promotional products.

Technical parameters of the product are the same as for other Cosmofen Plus adhesives. If the viscosity of the material is too high, it can be diluted with Cosmofen 380.

Advantages and disadvantages

Glues of the liquid plastic series have a lot of advantages.Despite the recent appearance on the market, they have firmly gained popularity among window manufacturers.

The use of glue provides diffuse welding (mutual penetration) in the joint area, as a result, a single part is formed without changing color, structure. This is achieved due to the fact that liquid plastic has approximately the same composition as the PVC profiles themselves.

Other benefits of the series:

• resistance to precipitation, light, heat, ultraviolet;
• lack of fungus, mold at the junction, even with high humidity;
• excellent strength, strength of the seam;
• environmental safety, harmlessness to humans;
• guarantee of preservation of color for 15 years (the seam will remain white or transparent);
• quick solidification, the possibility of quick commissioning of the product;
• good sealing of joints, protection from cold, drafts;
• lack of absorption of odors;
• the ability to use detergents;
• resistance to subzero temperatures.

The disadvantages include setting surfaces too fast. You should immediately arrange them correctly, since there will be no time to correct the location. Another disadvantage is the need for complete dryness of the product during operation, only after hardening the joint will be resistant to moisture.

The disadvantage is the difficult separation of some adhesives from surfaces, which requires the purchase of a special solvent. Liquid plastic does not work well on porous surfaces; it is not suitable for elastic flexible joints.

Another major drawback is the easy ignition of materials - it is necessary to work with them with strict observance of safety measures.

Usage restrictions

Small details of windows, other small plastic products are seized almost instantly. For gluing large products, you will have to wait a longer time.

There are some restrictions on the use of the Cosmofen series liquid plastic:

• if the products are constantly in contact with a large volume of water, get wet regularly, it is better to choose other means (liquid plastic withstands only periodic contact with moisture);
• too porous parts should be pre-coated with special means, Cosmofen adhesives should not be used immediately;
• aluminum products must have special coatings, otherwise the quality of the seam may decrease;
• application on polypropylene, PET can lead to a decrease in the strength of joints;
• if the surfaces have different thermal expansion, there is a risk of delamination of the liquid plastic in the future.

Security measures

When working with the material, the instructions for use and safety should be strictly observed. The composition contains hazardous components that are flammable. Smoking during work is strictly prohibited, as well as working near other sources of fire.

It is recommended to work with gloves, because if the composition gets into your hands it will be difficult to clean it. The room should be ventilated during operation, since it is forbidden to inhale pairs of adhesives. Otherwise, it is better to wear a respirator or fabric mask.

Instructions for use

Application of the material is not difficult. It is very important to properly prepare the surface, for which they are washed, cleaned of any dirt, grease. The area of ​​the future joint should be degreased (Cosmofen 10 or 60 will do) and dry thoroughly.

When wiping the base, it is important to use lint-free rags that do not leave hairs. Next, proceed as follows:

• squeeze a little funds along the entire seam;
• rub, smear liquid plastic is impossible;
• if possible, the product should be pressed;
• withstand the time of complete drying, which is indicated in the instructions;
• you can only reposition parts within a few seconds;
• it is imperative to comply with the conditions during work - the temperature is above +5, but not more than 25 degrees, the humidity is less than 60%.

Further surface treatment

To remove material residues from tools, use cleaners of the same brand. If excess glue gets on the PVC parts, wait for the drying time, then remove the product, carefully cutting off with a blade.

If the composition is not completely dried up, it is easy to wipe it off with Cosmoplast 597. It is better to act accurately, because due to the strength of the glue, it is not always possible to wipe off its spots perfectly.
