Before use, both components of the adhesive are mixed together, and only then the composition will be ready for use.

The composition and form of release of glue

Poxipol adhesive is available in two versions:

1. Transparent - in red packaging. It is a composition of medium density, which must be mixed in a disposable container or on a spatula. This tool is a dielectric (blocks the transmission of an electric wave), which expands its scope.
2. Matte - for metal in a blue box. This is a plasticine mass, which can be kneaded by hands and stuck on a defect, a hole. The color of the glue can be white, metallic, gray-brown, it does not affect the properties of the product.

Poksipol is able to create a seam that resembles properties of metal welding. It is easy to apply, does not drain even from vertical bases, does not expand. The glue does not shrink after drying, is not subject to deformation. The adhesive does not include solvents, therefore it does not give an unpleasant odor and can even be used to repair children's toys. In a dry environment, the resulting seam is non-toxic, but not suitable for aquatic organisms, as it may harm them!

The main technical parameters of the adhesive:

• high resistance to the action of oils, water, moderate - to the influence of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids;
• the ability to withstand temperatures up to +120 degrees, do not change during freezing and prolonged exposure to cold;
• connection strength - 993 N;
• cutoff voltage - 22 MPa;
• plasticity of the mass after the start of polymerization - up to 10 minutes;
• time to complete drying of the glue - 1 hour;
• the time until the final strength of the glue is set and the product begins to operate is 24 hours;
• consumption per 1 square. m - 200-300 g.

It is not possible to glue Poxipol products in water, but after 10 minutes after complete drying, the objects can be immersed in water without the risk of glue breaking off. This tool is not flammable, flammable, but when heated above +120 degrees, it burns. When applied, the adhesive will not leave traces or stains on the surface. All these properties are inherent only in a correctly mixed composition, when the resin and hardener are combined in a 1: 1 ratio. Otherwise, the quality of the finished glue is violated.

Advantages and disadvantages of Poxipol

The disadvantages of Poxipol glue include its low tensile strength. Therefore, it is not necessary to operate the adhesive in conditions where the parts are subjected to vibration, other movement, deformation, and high mechanical stresses. The bonding quality is reduced if the surface is not prepared correctly, which can also be attributed to glue deficiencies. Another disadvantage is the risk of damage to some materials (Teflon, polypropylene, polyethylene), this adhesive cannot be used on them. Other disadvantages:

• higher price in comparison with domestic glues;
• low melting point;
• short glue pot life after dilution;
• the need for mixing components;
• too small packaging (if there is a large amount of work).

Glue Application Instructions

For reliable fixing of parts, it is important to prepare both glued surfaces well. First, remove dirt, debris, wash dust. Then degrease by washing with soap and water, rubbing with acetone, alcohol, special degreasers (depending on the type of material). Before applying glue, you need to make sure that the surface is completely dry - so the adhesion will be much higher.

Before applying glue, smooth metal substrates beforehand with sandpaper to improve the adhesion of the composition. Before gluing, the wood should be treated with antiseptics, fungicides, and porous substrates with primers or primers.

The method of preparation of glue

Mix the two components of Poxipol glue strictly before work, otherwise the composition will quickly harden and deteriorate. It is necessary to carry out such actions:

• put on the plate or in a disposable cup the right amount of component A (epoxy);
• add the same volume of composition B (hardener), that is, the proportion will be 1: 1;
• mix the glue well so that it becomes homogeneous; you should not devote much time to the process.

At the end of the work, the plate-tray must be cleaned by scraping off the remnants of glue, it is reusable and will be useful for the next use of Poxipol.

Bonding products "Poksipolom"

After the glue reaches a homogeneous consistency without lumps, you can proceed to fasten the parts. One of the working surfaces is well coated with glue, then strongly pressed to the second part. Stand for 60-120 seconds for the initial setting, if necessary, adjust the position of the parts for the first 5-10 minutes. The product is left for a day, after which it can be operated.

Useful tips for using Poxipol are as follows:

• for sealing joints, pits, cracks, other defects, it is better to use a small construction spatula or knife soaked in cold water, with which the glue is leveled;
• when repairing leaks in containers, tanks, the composition is also applied with a spatula, but it is already slightly thickened, or they take an opaque plasticine-like glue with your hands, stick it to a problem place;
• if small steel chips are introduced into the glue, the mass will become more resistant to mechanical stress and will be able to withstand even vibration of products;
• the most favorable temperature for working with glue is + 18 ... + 22 degrees, in which case the composition hardens evenly;
• it is often required to apply two layers of glue, in this situation you need to wait until the first has completely dried out and only then do the second.

The remains of glue in the tubes do not need to be thrown away, they can still be used in the future. It is important not to swap the caps, twisting them in the correct order. If the epoxy resin in the package is slightly thickened, you must put the tube in hot water or on the heating battery in a closed form before use.

Adhesive precautions

Epoxy can negatively affect the skin, mucous membranes, causing irritation and allergic reactions. The hardener is even more harmful to the skin, it should not be allowed direct contact with the body. If any component or their mixture gets on the skin, wash it with plenty of soap and water.Eye contact or ingestion requires urgent medical attention!

After drying, the composition is harmless to humans, but when working with it, safety measures must be observed: wear glasses, gloves, a respirator, and ventilate the room well. Expired glue is better not to use. Keep it only out of the reach of children and animals. It is strictly forbidden to repair the elements of gas equipment by Poksipol!
