They are scrubbed with a sponge dipped in a solution of the following components:
- 500 ml of water;
- a tablespoon of ammonia;
- a tablespoon of dishwashing detergent.
Contaminated areas are rubbed with foam until the stain disappears. Hard-to-remove stains are cleaned with a soft brush, after which they moisten a clean sponge with plain water, wash off the foam, and allow things to dry out a little. If necessary, repeat all manipulations. If the stain remains on the down jacket, after staining it will stand out even more.
After getting rid of stains, you need to wash the whole thing. The easiest way to do this in a washing machine is in the “Delicate Wash” mode or similar modes. The ideal option is to use a special detergent for washing down jackets, or other SMS in liquid or gel form.

- prepare a solution of 10 l of warm water, a bag of dye and 150 g of salt;
- dissolve salt and pigment well so that there are no lumps left;
- the down jacket is immersed in water, straightened, excluding crumple, otherwise the folds may remain unpainted;
- leave the item for 2 hours, periodically turning it over with the help of two wooden sticks or other convenient device;
- they take out a down jacket, rinse it well;
- Separately diluted with water vinegar (per liter of liquid - 15 ml of table vinegar), rinse the product in this composition to fix the result or leave it for 15 minutes;
- they take out a thing, wring it out, let it dry completely.
Dry-cleaning a down jacket
The easiest way to paint a down jacket in dry cleaning. Unfortunately, not every company provides such services, so you have to call them in advance and find the right one. Usually, first professional cleaning of the down jacket, removal of accessories, fur is carried out, and only then the thing is painted using modern preparations. Drying is carried out in a powerful dryer, so the fluff does not cake and remains in perfect condition.

To wear your favorite thing as long as possible while maintaining its attractive appearance, you must follow the rules of care:
- wash the down jacket only SMS for delicate fabrics, wool, not containing bleaching components, and preferably with specialized means;
- apply gel or liquid forms, which practically do not give stains;
- wash the item before storage, then dry it thoroughly for several days, and only then put it in the closet;
- fasten locks, buttons before storage, always use a hanger;

- make sure that the fur on the down jacket is not wet, always dry it in time and never wash with the main thing.
