Paint ruined the holiday
The solemn line devoted to the Day of Knowledge ended for students of the 2nd “B” class of Omsk school No. 65 with soiled clothes and tears. The children were seated at desks painted with water-based paint, which had not yet had time to dry. As a result - spoiled form and mood.
Water based emulsion paints are generally not intended for such use. They are usually used for interior painting - in other words, they paint walls and ceilings. Such a coating has low wear resistance and is not designed for constant contact with children's elbows. As a result of the wrong choice, the paint on the desks was scratched in places, and in some places it almost completely peeled off.
One of the parents took the results of such a creative approach to the urgent repair of furniture, which, apparently, was carried out right on the eve of the line. The online clip provoked a heated discussion. Even an appeal to the department of education was published. After that, the city administration intervened and the desks in the class were replaced.
But the director of the educational institution, instead of apologizing to the children and their parents, took the position of a deaf defense. The leader referred to the fact that with a large number of children it is extremely difficult to manage. And in addition to working problems, she also has family troubles.
Perhaps the manager simply did not have time to control the process of furniture renovation during all preparations. Or maybe in this way they decided to reduce the estimate for repairs - an aqueous emulsion is cheaper than oil paint.
