Varnish XC-76 belongs to the group of anticorrosive agents for organizing temporary protection of products from various materials. The scope of this coating is very wide, it is used in such industries:

- gas and oil production;
- automotive, etc.

The varnish contains copolymers of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride in a percentage of 60:40. Also, to ensure the desired properties, organic solvents, elastomers are introduced into the composition.
Technical characteristics of this tool are prescribed in GOST, here are the main ones:
- Color - green, light yellow, light brown.
- Consistency - smooth, homogeneous, does not contain impurities.
- The created film is glossy, there are no wrinkles, dimples, sagging.
- Viscosity according to the VZ 246 viscometer at a temperature of +20 degrees - 30–70 ˚С.
- The number of layers is 1-3, the thickness of one layer is 20–325 μm.
- Drying time at a temperature of +20 degrees - 2 hours to the third degree.
- Safety cover protection - up to a year.
- The proportion of solids in the material is 20-24%.
- The consumption per layer is 155–195 g / sq. m
- The elasticity of the coating during bending is 1 mm.
- Impact strength - 50 cm.
The coating after application is resistant to heat, precipitation, frost, wind, it has anticorrosive properties, does not deteriorate under the influence of detergents, retains its shape under the influence of ultraviolet, infrared radiation. Sold in packs of 20 liters.
Application Procedure
The varnish is applied to a previously prepared surface; it is applied independently or in complex staining together with soil and enamel. In the latter case, the material serves as the last layer. It goes well with:
- soil HS-010, 059, 068;
- HS-75U enamel.
If the viscosity of the varnish is increased, it is diluted with solvents R-4, P4A.The temperature for work is from –10 to +30 degrees. The surface is cleaned of dirt, dust, stains of grease. Application methods - pneumatic spraying, airless spraying without heating. Drying of the layers should be carried out for at least 1 hour at a temperature of +20 degrees, complete drying of the coating is 5 days.
Safety precautions
All work with the product should be done with gloves, in a room with good ventilation or in the air. Be sure to wear a respirator, clothes with long sleeves.
Important! Do not spray material near the fire - it is fire hazard!
Storage rules
The product is stored at a temperature of +30 to –30 degrees, the room is dry, the packaging closes tightly so that moisture and contaminants do not get into it. The effects of heat, the sun can not be allowed, from this the varnish dries.
Attention! Do not place varnish near food.
Shelf life - 6 months from the date of production.
Other brands of varnishes XC
There are other varnishes of the XC series. For example, XC-724 has a similar basis, but differs in other additives and plasticizers. It is used to protect metal and concrete, on the surface of which it creates a resistant coating. The latter protects the base material from the action of acids and alkalis. Varnish is used for the treatment of railway wagons, tanks, tanks, various designs, subject to the influence of aggressive environments.
