Material Description
Primer AK-070 is a chemically resistant soil that is used in different climatic conditions - in cold, temperate, tropical climates, in dry and humid environments. Products after application of the material are used indoors and outdoors. After use, a thin film is created on the surfaces with the following properties:
- Resistance to heat.
- Resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage.
- Resistance to the action of current, moisture, including salt solutions and sea water.
- Reliability under the influence of petroleum products, mineral oil, gases, acids, and other chemicals.
Priming with AK-070 can be carried out after application of paints and varnishes, compatibility is good. Soil is best combined with paint based on nitrocellulose, pentaphthalic enamels, as well as with such paints:
- epoxy;
- perchlorovinyl;
- glyphthalic;
- acrylic;
- alkyd-styrene;
- alkyd-acrylic;
- oily.
to contents ↑The composition of the product, which is produced according to GOST 25718-83, contains pigments, acrylic resins, plasticizers, a number of polymer additives. The base part of the soil is inorganic varnishes, which consist of ethyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, toluene, butyl acetate.
Scope of application of a primer
The scope of the soil is wide - it is used for processing various metal products:
- titanium;
- aluminum;
- from magnesium, magnesium alloys;
- stainless steel, carbon steel;
- copper;
- galvanized;
- with cadmium anti-corrosion coating.
There are no particular restrictions on the use of a primer by type of metal; it is suitable for almost all metal surfaces.
Product Features
The technical characteristics of the primer AK-070 relate to its properties, which are prescribed in GOST. After drying, the film should have a yellowish color, there are no inclusions, craters, depressions and cracks on it, it is smooth, without wrinkles. Other parameters that are regulated by GOST are as follows:
- the percentage of non-volatile substances in the soil - 13.5-16%;
- viscosity according to VZ-246 viscometer, 4 mm nozzle at a temperature of +20 degrees - 13–20 ˚С;
- the drying period to the third degree at a temperature of +20 degrees is 30 minutes;
- film elasticity on a bend - 1 mm;
- the strength of the created coating on impact using the U-1 device is 50 cm;
- the hardness of the coating using the TML device is 0.4 units;
- the acid number of the material is 0.3 mg / KOH;
- adhesion to the surface - 1 point;
- the degree of grinding - 30 microns;
- the thickness of one layer is 8-15 microns;
- operating temperatures when using the product: -45 ... + 60 degrees.
To apply the product, according to the characteristics, should be spray gun or brush. Its consumption per layer is 115–153 grams per square meter. The specific number depends on the quality of surface preparation and the method of applying the soil. If it is required to reduce the viscosity of the material, solvents of the R-5, P-648 type should be used.
Preparation and application work
A new product is easier to prepare than an old one. It is in the latter case that it will be necessary to thoroughly clean rust, old paint, other coatings with chips, chips. The easiest way to clean all the dirt with a hard iron spatula, but in the presence of a large surface, sandblasting and shot blasting are usually used. At home, direct manual grinding is used with sandpaper, mesh, drill nozzle. At the end of the work should not remain:
- dirt, dust;
- grease, paint;
- scale;
- moisture.
Soil AK-070 is mixed, it is ready even without dilution, and solvents are used only with increasing viscosity. After cleaning the surface, all work should be done no later than 6 hours. Apply the product with a brush, sprayer in 1-2 layers. Dry the product at a temperature of about 20 degrees 30 minutes. With this treatment, the service life of the coating will be: in a temperate climate 5 years, in a cold - 4 years, in the tropics - up to 2 years.

Safety and storage
According to the recommendations, all work for safety purposes should be carried out with gloves on, wearing durable long-sleeve clothes, glasses, a respirator or gas mask. There should not be any sources of fire near! If personal protective equipment is not used, vapors will enter the respiratory tract, which is harmful to health. The shelf life of the soil is 6 months from the date of production, the temperature should not exceed +30 degrees.
