Paint for cars "BELGI" will supply German BASF
In Belarus, a few weeks ago, the BELGI automobile production plant celebrated its opening. A fairly well-known German manufacturer of paint and varnish paint has contributed to the production of equipment.
The joint venture of the Chinese company Geely and the Belarusian manufacturer of equipment "BELAZ" made the final decision that the BASF concern will supply paint and varnish coatings.
According to the factory, the painting workshop provides for 8 different colors of paintwork. For applying paint to auto parts, modern autonomous robots of the Durr series are used. Absolutely all paints used at the factory are water-based and environmentally friendly.
The heads of the BASF concern and the BELGI enterprise believe that they have concluded a profitable deal. In addition, Monica Pander, Business Development Manager, BASF Automotive OEM Covers, is proud to say that BELGI has joined the ranks of their customers.
The company plans to produce about 60 thousand bodies per year. The first cars will go on sale in December 2017. The automaker organizes the supply of SUV cars to Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
