Prices for paints and varnishes decreased by 25.7% since the beginning of the year
The cost of paints and varnishes has decreased from the beginning of 2017 to the present. So, water-soluble coatings cost less by 18%, and organosoluble coatings - by 25.7%. These figures were presented by the statistical system of Russia - Rosstat.
Known average prices for paints and varnishes in September of this year. Manufacturers of water-soluble coatings asked for 48.21 thousand rubles per ton of goods, and sold a ton of organically soluble coatings at a price of 94.48 thousand rubles.
In May, when the repair and construction work season traditionally opens, the highest prices for water-soluble coatings were recorded. So, a ton of goods was sold at a price of 59.78 thousand rubles.
Already in June, when 5% more products were produced than in May, prices fell by 10 thousand rubles. But organically soluble paints and varnishes were most expensive in February, when manufacturers took 128.5 thousand rubles per ton of production, and in June the lowest price for the product was fixed - 83.5 thousand rubles.
When the holiday season was closed in September, manufacturers raised prices slightly, so the price of water coatings was raised by 1.18%, and for organically soluble coatings - by 5.83%, despite a 16.9% decrease in the number of manufactured products in September in comparison with August. This decrease in the volume of paints and varnishes produced also affected the price increase in September.
