In Russia, the prices for coatings decreased by 12%
In Russia, in the first half of 2017, prices for paints and varnishes fell by 12.31%. This is known from the data published on the resource of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation.
Average prices for the products “Paints and varnishes based on polyester, vinyl or acrylic polymer in an anhydrous medium, solutions” in winter, namely January and February, amounted to 96,051.49 rubles per ton. In early spring, prices fell 15.14% to 81,507.87 rubles per ton.
Then, at the beginning of the second quarter, there was a jump in the price of paint and varnish. Prices for materials rose 2.87%. In April, a large number of construction companies bought products at an average price of 83,843.08 rubles per ton.
The price increase in April was due to a decline in paintwork. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, factories produced 0.4% less goods than in March 2017. At the same time, in March, when prices fell, the production of plants increased. Enterprises produced 49.7% more products than in February 2017.
