Will Russian equipment manufacturers reach the world level?
The latest issues of the Russian journal Industrial Coatings have published a series of discussion materials on the quality problems of domestic equipment intended for the production of various varnishes and paints. The journal platform was provided to representatives of domestic business, as well as expert consultants from abroad.
The key point of view of consumers was expressed by Mikhail Kolomichev, General Director of Russian Paints. The businessman believes that the only advantage of domestic technology was and remains only its relative affordability. In all other respects, unfortunately, priority should be given to specialized manufacturing corporations from Israel, Germany, Italy and France.
This view was supported by most of the participants in the discussion. For example, representatives of the “Paint Twill” company, which recently launched a new production, noted that most of the equipment at the enterprise is imported, and only a number of components and assemblies were assembled at domestic plants.
Particular attention, according to the participants in the discussion, should be given to the design of modern equipment for fine grinding of materials, component synthesis reactors, etc.
