Shipbuilders will finance the invention of new paintwork
USC - United Shipbuilding Corporation is the largest company in the Russian Federation. It includes about 40 enterprises, the most famous are Vyborg Shipyard, “Zvezdochka Shipbuilding Center”, Khabarovsk Shipyard, Arktek Helsinki Shipyard Shipyard (icebreakers construction), Sudoexport foreign trade organization.
The head of the USC, Alexei Rakhmanov, listed the projects in which his venture fund plans to invest funds. Mostly, assistance will be given to companies manufacturing anticorrosion coatings and paints and varnishes.
An investment fund will be created in early 2018, and by September the organization plans to conclude the first transactions. As already mentioned, all who can count on subsidies were listed by the president of the corporation.
The enterprises were selected based on the own needs of the shipbuilding corporation. “These are our traditional areas in which we are looking for know-how of various kinds: new materials, different types of paints, coatings, modern anti-corrosion solutions, technologies that reduce noise characteristics, of course, these are new technologies for auxiliary systems, air purification, air conditioning,” he explained Alexey Rakhmanov.
According to shipbuilders, in addition to projects in this area, they are ready to help areas that work on the invention of unmanned vessels.
